I hope to have a new post by tomorrow afternoon. I thought the recent fires near Sequoia National Monument would be timely, and I have spent time hiking and camping in the affected areas.

The first post....
Hello all,
I hope to have sufficient time available to give this blog, and its subject matter, justice. As the description implies, I feel that the environment is being severely damaged by the actions of humans. Unfortunately, the methods which are in place to combat the ravaging of our resources are out-dated and misguided. Even more frightening are the commonly expressed proposals which are touted as a cure all.
We have all heard about the supposed effects of greenhouse gases and global warming, but I also hope to shed light on environmental issues which the media seems to ignore; improper forestry management and the depletion of our ocean fish populations.
